Associate Membership
What is a NODA Associate Membership?
A NODA Associate Membership is for individuals, organizations, businesses or corporations that provide products and services that benefit NODA members in carrying out their duties and responsibilities at their institutions.
What are the benefits of and Associate Membership?
- Associate Members have the opportunity to purchase exhibit space at the Annual Conference.
- Associate Members have access to sponsorship opportunities at the Annual and nine Regional Conferences.
- Associate Members have the opportunity to have a URL link on the NODA website, which will include a description of their service or business and the year they joined NODA as an Associate Member.
- Associate Members have the opportunity to propose and possibly present an educational program at an Annual Conference, with either paid registration to the conference or paid exhibit space.
- Associate Members have the opportunity to purchase an advertisement in, or sponsor, the Orientation Review or New Member Handbook publications.
- Associate Members receive one electronic set per year of Membership Labels consisting of over 1,200 members.
- Associate Members have access to the NODA listserv with 2 listserv advertisements per year showcasing your services or products to over 1,200 NODA members.
- Associate Members have the option to receive NODA publications.
- Associate Members have the opportunity to support and sustain the goals and mission of NODA and support its professionals and students dedicated to orientation, transition and retention of college students.
The Associate Membership fee must be paid in order to gain access to NODA Annual Conference Exhibit Space and Sponsorship Opportunities. This membership fee cannot be substituted for any gifts in kind, services provided to the conference or Association.
How do you become a NODA Associate Member?
Every Associate Membership is $500 (USD) and covers all of the above benefits. To renew or begin your Associate Membership, click here to join online. This online form will take you step by step through the membership registration process. You can also download and complete the paper application (pdf or doc). If you have questions regarding the date your membership expires, please contact the NODA Home Office at noda@umn.edu.
Exhibiting at NODA Annual Conferences
One of the benefits of the Associate Membership is the opportunity to reach NODA members by exhibiting at the NODA Annual Conference. Over 850 NODA members representing numerous institutions internationally and across the country attend the NODA Annual Conference.
The Associate Membership fee must be paid in order to gain access to NODA Annual Conference Exhibit Space and Sponsorship Opportunities.
An additional Annual Conference Exhibit Space Fee is required for Associate Members. The current Annual Conference Exhibit Space Fee is $1000 (USD) and covers the items below.
The $1000 Exhibit fee entitles Associate Members to the following:
- One (1) 8’x10’ booth space which includes:
- one 6’ x 30’ high draped table
- 2 chairs
- 7” x 44” booth identification sign
- Waste basket
- Pipe and drape
- One complementary conference registration
- One electronic list of conference participant mailing address (provided on site)
In addition to exhibiting at the NODA Annual Conference, Associate Members have several other ways to connect with conference participants.

- 1/4 Page Ad in Conference Program Booklet (cost $250)
- 1/2 Page Ad in Conference Program Booklet (cost $500)
- Full Page Ad in Conference Program Booklet (cost $750)
- Promotion Insert in conference check-in materials (cost $500)
Item Sponsorship
Recognition of Sponsorship: Associate Member’s logo on item. Also, each contributor will be indicated in the program booklet. (Benefits are negotiable with the increasing amount of financial contribution)
- Conference Participant Bags (Quantity 950)
- Conference Name Badge Holder (Quantity 950)
Event Sponsorship
Recognition of Sponsorship: Signage with Associate Member’s logo at event. Also, each contributor will be indicated in the program booklet. (Benefits are negotiable with the increasing amount of financial contribution)
- Opening Banquet ($3,000 minimum)
- Closing Banquet ($3,000 minimum)
- E-Mail Stations/Cyber Cafe ($3,000 minimum)
- “Taste of NODA” Luncheon Contributor ($1,000 minimum)
- Off Site Event Contributor ($1,000 minimum)
- “NODA Night In” Contributor ($1,000 minimum)
