Selection Timeline: Fall 2009

Applications: Host Institutions
Hosts can create profile and complete host application online	October 15, 2009
Deadline to submit an application to host an intern	November 30, 2009

Applications: Candidates
Candidates can create profiles and online application	October 15, 2009
Position descriptions / postings available online	December 7, 2009
* candidates must complete online form identifying Round 1 preferences.
Deadline for candidate applications to be submitted online	Must be completed and received no later than January 11, 2010
* to be considered COMPLETE, candidate applications include the online application, an uploaded resume and Round 1 preferences.
Round One
Applications distributed to Host Institutions electronically	Available online by January 13, 2010
** Host will be able to login to unique internship pages to pick up application files of those candidates who have chosen that site to which to apply in Round 1.
Host Institutions schedule and conduct interviews (1st Round)	January 14 to February 19, 2010
Hosts can offer to Candidates (no earlier)	February 10, Noon, EST, 2010
** Candidates should be offered at least 24 hours to respond; Offers cannot be made prior to this date; date corresponds to ACUHO-I process and others.
Hosts and candidates report any matches made or desire to participate in Round Two no later than this date.	No later than February 24, 2010

Round Two
Candidates and Hosts receive Round 2 information	March 1, 2010
Hosts schedule and conduct interviews as needed ** Offers may be made as needed	March 2– 30, 2010
Final Confirmation of all internships	April 5, 2010

A NODA Intern Host gains from the perspective and background of an enthusiastic and fresh viewpoint on specific projects as well as in program implementation. For you, the program can:

offer the opportunity to have an impact on the future of orientation and the Student Affairs profession by connecting with and helping to teach the next generation of practitioners.
provide an economical way to increase the number of staff during a busy time of year
increase the ideas, the experience and the connections for your program.
