Outstanding Contributions to the Orientation Profession Award

Purpose:

This award recognizes an individual's extensive contributions to the field of orientation, retention, and transition.  It is based on the following:

  1. Significant research and/or publications in the field of orientation, retention and transition.
  2. Outstanding leadership in professional organizations and/or endeavors.
  3. Merited stature among orientation, retention and transition professionals.
  4. Innovative and effective contributions fostering the advancement of the profession.
  5. Significant impact on the orientation, transition, and retention profession beyond his/her institution.

Nomination Process:

Complete the nomination form (Online Form)  and submit a nomination statement (as a Microsoft Word document) detailing the nominee's qualifications. 

Please answer the following questions in your nomination statement. Your candidate will be considered for the award only if the above criteria are met and all questions are addressed thoroughly.

  1. Please describe how the nominee has significant research and/or publication experience in the field of orientation, transition, and retention.
  2. How has the candidate shown outstanding leadership in professional organizations and/or endeavors?
  3. Please describe how this individual has achieved merited stature among orientation, transition, and retention professionals.
  4. Describe the innovative and effective contributions that this nominee has made in fostering the advancement of the profession.
  5. Describe the impact this individual has had on the profession beyond his/her institution
