Outstanding NODA Intern Award

Purpose

This award recognizes up to two individuals who have demonstrated commitment to learning, professional development, and service, through the successful completion of a NODA Internship experience.

Candidates

  • Must have served in an internship sanctioned by NODA within the 12 months prior to the conference in which the award is given, lasting a minimum of eight weeks.
  • Must be placed into nomination by the host and/or direct supervisor in the internship.
  • Submit a one to two page personal statement accounting the internship, duties, goals accomplished, skills learned and any additional information you would like to share.

Nominator: Please address the following points in your nomination statement:

  • Specific responsibilities of the Internship and assessment of the intern’s success
  • Contributions made to the host institution’s program and overall mission

The current NODA Internship Coordinator will serve on the selection committee and must provide validation of recipient's adherence to the internship process.

Application

Complete the nomination form (Online Form) and submit both essays (from nominator and nominee) electronically as Microsoft word documents.

All nomination materials must be received no later than Friday, September 5, 2008. Submit nomination materials to:
