NODA Databank
What is the Databank?
The Noda Databank is a collection of statistical information about Orientation programs and office functions from member institutions collected every three to five years. The last Databank was collected in Fall 2003/Spring 2004.
How is the Information Collected?
This year, NODA and StudentVoice have established a strategic partnership and resulting in an opportunity to use technology for members to complete the databank. This also gives the NODA membership the flexibility to log-in to StudentVoice and create customized views of the Databank.
How do I Access the Databank?
You will need to log into the Members Only section of the NODA Website to get the NODA login information for the Databank.
How do I Participate in the Databank?
Each member institutions professional staff received e-mail inviting their participation. Each institution was asked to designate one individual to complete a series of QUESTIONS. Once you have completed the survey, the data is processed and added to the Databank. We have completed rounds 1 and 2 so far.
What is surveyed in each round?
- Databank Round 1: General info, # and types of programs, some budget information
- Databank Round 2: Staffing, human resources, payroll
- Databank Round 3: Programming – themed programs, events held during orientation, partnerships (external and internal), faculty involvement, advising
- Databank Round 4: Assessment – how do you assess your programs, learning outcomes, etc...
Databank Round 5: Parent and family programming specifics - Databank Round 6: Student Staffing
