NODA Internship Host Institutions
Share |

Institutions with an active NODA professional member are eligible to be NODA Internship Hosts. You can login to the Internship Program online tool using your NODA membership login information. Within the online tool, you will be able to create your profile, post internship positions, and communicate with candidates.
Why be a NODA Internship Host?

Through providing an internship experience, your institution / program has the opportunity to gain insight and new ideas from the perspective and background of an enthusiastic graduate student intern. The short-term nature of these internships can also provide an economic way to increase the number of staff during a busy time of the year.

NODA's Internship Program is designed to facilitate the matching of motivated, quality students with challenging, exciting OTR positions at NODA member institutions across the U.S. and Canada.

This is accomplished by bringing together these candidates and hosts through our online tool, which fosters:

  • centralized communication
  • manage applications
  • schedule interviews
  • confirm candidate / internship matches

To become a NODA Internship Host Institution, you must have at least one current NODA professional member throughout the internship period. The NODA member does not need to be the direct supervisor of the intern. NODA professional memberships are $150 but there is no additional cost to becoming an Internship Host. Click here to learn more about becoming a member.

2017 Timeline and Changes to the Program

Important Changes to the Internship Program, Starting November 2017

  • Candidates are now required to write personalized cover letters for each internship they apply for. This will help ensure true interest from each candidate applying to your position.
  • As you browse through candidates, you can now favorite them by clicking the "star." You can then follow them through the application process. If they have not applied to your positions, they would be found in your "leads" folder. If they have applied to one of your positions, they will be listed as "preferred."
  • Interview scheduling, along with all other communication between the hosts and candidates, will take place inside the online tool. Hosts will be able to request interviews with the click of a button, display their interview availabilities, and allow candidates to request a day and time, all within the online tool!
