Rainbow Ribbon Project

Donations from the long-standing rainbow ribbon project will be used to support the Indiana Youth Group. Donate $1 and represent the NODA GLBTA Network by pinning a rainbow ribbon on your nametag!

Indiana Youth Group is one of the largest LGBTQ youth centers of its kind across the country.  It is unique in that it is a stand-alone organization serving LGBTQ youth and the community rather than being a division or arm of a larger umbrella organization. Therefore, we are able to act as a one-stop-shop for our youth who are empowered through wellness programs, social and leadership opportunities, family support services and educational programs that include homework sessions, tutoring, study groups, career and college prep.  We also work closely with mental health organizations throughout the state and 80+ Gay Straight Alliance organizations inside Indiana schools.

Since 1987, Indiana Youth Group has provided safe places, wellness programming, education and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth (LGBTQ) and the *community. (*including schools, employers, parents, health care providers, etc.)

Of youth surveyed last year at IYG, 80% reported feeling better about identifying as LGBTQ while 83% reported feeling an increase in self-esteem and confidence in themselves due to their engagement in IYG programing. 84% reported having been provided with positive adult role models by participating in IYG programing.
