Why was getting involved in NODA important to you?

Being involved in NODA was a natural fit for me.  The mentors that I have made through NODA all have been leaders in the association and I wanted to be just like them.  HA!

Why should a member consider a leadership position in NODA?
It’s a great opportunity to give back to the Association and build relationships with colleagues from across the country.

What have you gained from your leadership positions in NODA?
I have gained so much from being involved in NODA.  The friendships that I have made are lifelong.  I have people that I can call at any time and run ideas by them and find out ways to make programs on my own campus bigger and better!  Being a leader has also allowed me the opportunity to see exactly what it all takes to run an organization like NODA.

What is your favorite NODA related memory?
My favorite NODA memory was definitely attending my first regional conference as an undergrad and getting off of the bus at SROW to participate in the sticker swap.  CRAZINESS…people everywhere, stickers everywhere…but so much fun!  Being around people that had the same pride and excitement for their schools just as I did was amazing.
