Region IX (NY, VT, NH, ME, MA, CT, RI, QC, NB, NS, NF, PE)

Region IX is a small region by geographic size but we are full of unique, innovative and diverse members from both urban and rural campuses. This diversity offers an opportunity for learning from all aspects of orientation, transition and retention.Our region holds an annual conference that rotates throughout the member states full of fun and community oriented events. Our annual "NODA-oke" contest, a spin off of American Idol/karaoke draws a large number of our undergraduate participants and the Professional reception and round table breakfast are popular with our more seasoned members. The most unique program offered in our region is our Regional Orientation Leader Institute (ROLI) which allows 2^nd and 3^rd year undergraduates an opportunity to focus on more intensive learning and leadership development during our conference. In addition, we hold an annual Penny War to benefit a charity in the community hosting the conference. This event has allowed us to incorporate community involvement with our program.
