NODA Appropriate Language Statement

As educators of students and colleagues, conference presenters must be particularly sensitive to and aware of the issues of language, and the perpetuation of stereotypes and erroneous assumptions. Presenters are strongly advised to model behavior that will educate their audience. All conference participants, presenters, and entertainers are expected to use appropriate sensitive and inclusive terminology so NODA will provide an environment which is comfortable for everyone. 10/27/90
