A one day drive-in conference with a variety of topics potentially including parents and family support, off campus/commuter student support, pre-arrival programming, evaluations, and much more. It will be a great opportunity for professional development and networking with other orientation-focused staff here in Ontario!

A drive-in is the opportunity for you to attend a one-day session where professionals from across the state gather to discuss important issues related to our field while providing everyone with the opportunity to network with other professionals doing the same kind of work you are doing!


  • Who: NODA members and non-members
  • When: Monday, June 6th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
  • Where: University of Ontario Institute of Technology 2000 Simcoe St. N. Oshawa, ON L1H 7K4 (Registration will be in room ERC 1058)
  • Cost: If you are a NODA member, cost to attend the drive-in is free. If you aren’t a member, cost to attend a NODA function is $20 unless you would like to join NODA, then it’s free. Lunch is not provided. There is a cafeteria on campus and a take-out order will be arranged for those interested at Jimmy Guacos ( . You are welcome to bring snacks & water with you.
  • Parking: $14 for the day. Parking is available in Founders Lot 2/3
  • Discussion Topics: Upon registering please indicate topic areas you would like to discuss under the “additional comments” section of your registration. We will use the results from this to determine the topics discussed during our drive-in. The Drive-in will primarily consist of roundtable sessions on the chosen topics to ensure we are best able to learn from one another's experience and expertise.
  • Details: Our plan is to begin discussion around 10 a.m. until Noon then break for lunch until 1:30 p.m. Discussion will continue at 1:30 p.m. and the day will wrap-up at 4 p.m.
