2018 Region III Conference
Cruising Through Orientation,
Transition, & Retention

April 6-7, 2018
Albuquerque, NM

Conference Hosts:
Chriselle Martinez, University of New Mexico
Anna Trillo, University of New Mexico
Jose Villar, University of New Mexico

The 2018 NODA Region III conference will be held in the beautiful city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The University of New Mexico resides on the historic Route 66, along the Rio Grande River, nestled between the Petroglyph National Monument and the Sandia Mountains. The theme for the conference is “Cruising Through Orientation, Transition and Retention”. The intention of this theme is to emphasize the need for collaboration across programs, departments, and divisions to solve the obstacles (potholes) students face along the journey of OTR. We will also highlight some best practices that allow students to travel smoothly (cruise) as they navigate their institutions. With the NODA mission of education, leadership and professional development in mind, the Region III conference committee would like to provide a space for dialogue, brainstorming, and adventure for all participants. The University of New Mexico would like to invite professionals, staff and students interested in learning about Orientation, Transition and Retention, through programming and collaboration, to join us for the 2018 Region III NODA conference.
