These roles support the operation of the Association and are often tied to a specific NODA event. These roles are typically selected/approved by the NODA leader responsible for the  program’s implementation. 

Recruitment for these positions typically happens leading up to the NODA event/program. Volunteers are selected through a simplified application process. All interested members meeting the criteria are welcome to participate.

Volunteers are sought for Annual and Regional Conferences to review educational program proposals. These opportunities allow NODA members to give back to the Association and ensure that the conferences meet the educational needs of NODA’s diverse membership. Reviewers of all professional levels are welcome.

Each year, NODA presents its Association Awards at the Annual Conference. NODA award nominations are reviewed and awarded based on a peer review process. Each award nomination is evaluated by three or more reviewers. During the application process, peer reviewers are asked to select the award categories they are interested in reviewing. A call for award reviewers is announced to the NODA membership. Reviewers of all professional levels are welcome.

There are many opportunities to volunteer at NODA events. Volunteering for “day of” events is a great way to get involved with NODA and network with your peers. Event volunteer opportunities are announced during event registration and vary by event.
