NODA Applications and Forms

Please select the appropriate from below.

Please note some forms are closed or priority application deadlines have passed.

Please let us know which volunteer opportunities interest you—whether that’s serving on a committee, joining a work group, participating in a community, or any combination of these!

PLEASE NOTE: The priority deadline for 2026 applications has passed. The application will remain open through out the year.

Communities are dynamic and responsive to the needs of our members. Any member with the support of ten other members across at least three institutions can submit a proposal to form a new Community. The Community Integration Committee is now accepting submissions for new NODA Communities!

The NODA Excellence Fund (NEF) is dedicated to supporting NODA members, just as our members are dedicated to the orientation, transition, and retention profession.

The application below is for NEF support to attend NODA events. Please note that our funding structure has changed. If awarded, assistance will be applied directly toward event registration, at the early bird registration rate.

Members holding a leadership or volunteer role within the association may be eligible to request a Travel Scholarship to support attending an event or meeting. Please review the Remuneration Policy to understand what you may be eligible to apply for. Should you be eligible and are requesting funding support for travel expenses, please apply through the Travel Scholarship Application instead.

The Travel Scholarship through NODA Excellence Fund (NEF) is dedicated to supporting NODA leaders and volunteers ONLY. The intention is to provide travel funds for those without financial support to attend an in-person meeting.

Through this application, NODA leaders and volunteers are eligible to apply for up-to $1,000 annually during their term that can be applied to the following event-related costs: transportation, hotel/lodging, meals at the per diem rate, and event registration

If you are not eligible for travel expense funding, please apply through the General NEF Application for the opportunity to receive up to the early bird registration cost.

NODA wants to showcase our members who are making a positive impact on their campuses. We want to celebrate those who are transforming their campuses through the implementation of intentional programs and initiatives that cultivate a sense of belonging for students and all members of their campus community.

Chosen members and programs will be highlighted and recognized through a social media spotlight. Self nominations are encouraged.

The Circle of Excellence, established as part of the NODA Excellence Fund, is a special recognition program honoring individuals who have made a lasting impact as professionals and scholars in the fields of Orientation, Transition, and Retention, and who have dedicated years of service to NODA.

Ambassadors serve a one-year term, partnering with NODA to lead fundraising efforts in support of the Excellence Fund. Every dollar raised through the Circle of Excellence directly supports NODA members by providing access to valuable professional development opportunities at both the national and regional levels.

Please complete the Event Request Form if you are a current NODA member interested in having the association set up a virtual or in-person event for your community or committee. Event formats include:

  • Zoom Meetings
  • Zoom Webinars
  • In person Event

We will reach out once your event request have been processed. In-person events require discussion and planning with NODA Staff before completing set up. We will provide you with zoom login credentials for virtual events so that you can open your meetings independently.
